Melina Kanakaredes, an American actress who is best recognized for her role as the role of detective Stella Bonasera in the CBS police procedural drama CSI: NY Dr. Sydney Hansen on the NBC drama series Providence and Dr. Lane Hunter on the medical drama series The Resident. Also, she was praised for her bold television debut as Eleni Andros Cooper in the CBS soap opera Guiding Light.
